Accident Insurance
~ Whatever the activity...it's wise to get Hartford Life's Accident Insurance
With any organizational activity there is always the possibility that a participant may suffer an injury...perhaps just a cut, scratch or bruise...or perhaps something much more serious.
If an accident did occur and your organization wanted to help pay the medical expenses, could your treasury withstand the financial impact? In the case of a serious accident, medical expenses could easily be far in excess of the funds in your treasury!
Hartford Life's "Special Risk" Accident insurance can help relieve your organization of this potential problem. It adds little to your budget-yet it provides liberal benefits for each participant.
It can be written to cover just a specific event - or it can cover all your group's activities during the year!
All eligible persons in a group must participate in the insurance program.

~ Excess Coverage Option
In certain states, lower rates are available if the Medical Expense portion of Hartford Life's Special Risk Accident Insurance is purchased on an "excess" basis. This means that after the insured person has been reimbursed for medical expenses by other insurance programs, Hartford Life will pay up to the maximum Medical Expense for remaining treatment, service and supply expenses. These and other programs include group, blanket or franchise health insurance coverage, group hospital or medical service plans, and pre-payment coverage; any coverage under labor management trustee plans, union welfare plans, employer organization plans, and coverage under any governmental programs, coverage required or provided by any statute, and automobile reparations insurance (no-fault) coverage.
This provision, or its applicable state variation, is available in all states except Delaware.
Please note that any amounts paid by another "Plan" as defined above (or applicable state variation) cannot be used to satisfy any deductible under our policy.
